Create a project

A project here is a record in the web application that groups your changelogs and database connections for the dashboards. It is not the Liquibase project on disk that the CLI works in. To scaffold that working directory, see Use init to start your project.

Group database connections and changelogs into a project in Liquibase Server.

Before you begin

  • These steps happen in the Liquibase Server web application.

  • A running server, its URL from your administrator, and a user account. See Manage your account.

  • If the server is not set up yet, run Liquibase Server locally on your own machine or use an internally deployed server. Both guides are under Set up and configure Liquibase Secure server.

Procedure

Open the Projects dashboard

In the left navigation, select Projects. This opens the Projects dashboard, which lists all available projects.

Open the project creation form

In the top right corner, select + New Project.

Enter project information

Select database connections

Select changelogs

Create the project

Select Create Project.
