Archive an assignment

Archiving retires an assignment you no longer need, whether it has gone stale or was created by mistake. The checks it carried stop being enforced for everything it targeted.
Before you begin
The assignment you want to retire, and its ID if any pipeline still passes it.
Procedure
Check the ID against your pipelines
An archived assignment fails the runs that still name it, so check its ID against your pipelines before you archive it. A run that passes an archived assignment's ID to liquibase checks run fails with LB-CHK-0011 rather than quietly running fewer checks than before.
Archive it
On the Assignments page, select the gear icon on the assignment's row and choose Archive. The action is on the list row, not on the assignment's own page. The Archive assignment dialog names the assignment and confirms that its checks stop being enforced for everything it targets.
Results
An archived assignment no longer appears in the list, and its page is no longer reachable. Archiving cannot be undone in the interface.
