Enable or disable a policy check

Turning a check off is how you stop enforcing a rule without losing the way you configured it. The check stays in its package, and nothing enforces it until you turn it back on.
Before you begin
Know which assignments carry the package, because the toggle changes what those assignments enforce. Review policy coverage shows you.
Procedure
Open the package holding the check
Under Govern, select Policies, then select Manage on your catalog to open Policy Checks Packages. Select the package. Each check row carries an Enabled toggle.
Toggle the check
Switch Enabled off to stop enforcing the check, or on to start again. The check’s parameters and severity are kept either way.
Or switch the whole package
The package header carries a master switch covering every check in the package. Switching it asks you to confirm, because it changes what every assignment carrying the package enforces.
Note: Use the package switch when you are retiring or staging a whole standard. Use the per-check toggle when one rule is the problem.
Results
A disabled check stays in the package with its configuration intact, and no assignment enforces it until you enable it again. The change applies to every assignment carrying the package, on the next policy checks run.
